Life in Christ Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, or simply "LCMS", along with 6,000 other congregations in the United States. Our membership in this larger church-body allows us to carry out world missions, educate future church workers, and engage in world relief. In addition, our church-body is in fellowship with 29 other church-bodies from around the world, which we call "Partner Churches."

The strength of this church-body has always been its commitment to the Bible as God's Word and to the Lutheran Confessions, which is a faithful explanation of that word. The LCMS upholds Biblical moral values, including those which have fallen by the wayside in the modern world.

In addition, the LCMS has the most extensive system of elementary, secondary, and higher education schools of any Protestant church in America. The LCMS has always placed a premium on education. In fact, the very first building, the saxon immigrants who formed the LCMS, built in 1839 was a log cabin college. This interest in education remains a mainstay in the individual congregations of the Missouri Synod.
